Pielisen Retki was founded by wilderness enthusiasts Toni Helander and Hanna Jänönen, who transform their passion for nature and fishing into unique experiences for their guests. In Nurmes and the Koli National Park, we offer tailored activities that make the beauty of the Finnish wilderness come alive – whether fishing, hiking, or enjoying regional delicacies. Our fishing tours take you to the clear waters of Nurmes and Koli, where experienced guides show you the best spots and let you enjoy the tranquility of nature. On our hiking trips, you will explore the untouched landscape with Hanna Jänönen and learn more about the flora and fauna of Finland. Culinary experiences are not forgotten: Toni Helander, a chef with over ten years of experience, prepares traditional Finnish fish dishes and other specialties in the heart of nature. Our team is accompanied by Tarmo, a strong Siberian Husky. This energetic dog will soon become part of our team as a sled dog, adding extra adventure to our tours.
