What the host promises, what the public Finnish data shows for the surrounding waters, and which permits you'll need - all in one place.
The fishing waters around Själö (Seili) in Pargas, Finland, offer excellent opportunities for both recreational and professional fishing. The archipelago's brackish waters are home to a variety of fish species, including pike, perch, zander (pike-perch), whitefish, and Baltic herring. Spring and autumn are the best seasons for pike and perch, as they are more active in cooler water. Summer is ideal for zander, which thrives in warmer waters. Winter provides good opportunities for ice fishing, mainly for perch and whitefish. The diverse underwater terrain, with rocky shores, reed beds, and deeper channels, creates excellent fishing spots throughout the year.
