Welcome to Hiukkajoki, where our peaceful, family-run farm sits just 150 meters from the shoreline of a pristine Finnish lake – a hidden gem for fishing and nature enthusiasts alike. Nestled in the heart of the Finnish Lakeland, this is where untouched nature meets authentic rural charm. Whether you're here for spinning, trolling, fly fishing, or ice fishing – this lake offers excellent conditions all year round and is home to species such as pike, perch, salmon, and more. Our accommodations combine simplicity with comfort, offering a warm and functional retreat after a day outdoors. The 30 m² apartment is ideal for couples, small families, or fishing friends and includes a bedroom, bathroom, and a living area with Wi-Fi, TV, fridge, coffee machine, and microwave. The space is designed to be both family- and pet-friendly, with essentials like bed linen, towels, and heating included. On the property, you'll find everything you need for a successful fishing trip: a rowboat, jetty, slipway, and filleting stations both indoors and outdoors. Motorboats can also be booked separately upon request, offering added flexibility for those who want to explore the lake further. We also provide a grill, fire pit, and smoker for preparing your catch in true Finnish style. A sauna can be booked separately for full relaxation. Fishing gear such as rods and traps is available free of charge, and your host – a lifelong fisherman – is happy to offer a personal introduction to the local waters and techniques. Our small farm has been in the family for generations, and we take pride in offering a welcoming, down-to-earth atmosphere. Breakfast can be arranged on request, prepared with fresh, local ingredients. If needed, we also offer a rental car and pick-up service from the nearest train station.
