Villa Joutsen is a high-quality lakeside destination for fishing groups, families and friends who value comfort, privacy and Lake Saimaa scenery. The villa has four bedrooms and accommodates up to 12 guests.
Guests enjoy a private sandy beach, large private pier, electric sauna, traditional wood-heated lakeside sauna and an outdoor hot tub beside the sauna terrace. The property also offers a modern kitchen, two toilets, washing machine, spacious lake-view terraces, barbecue options, fast Wi-Fi, rowing boat and private boat ramp.

Each package includes seven nights at Villa Joutsen, fully equipped 20 hp fishing boats with Lowrance Elite FS 9 units and Minn Kota PowerDrive GPS bow motors with Spot-Lock, boats waiting at the private pier, bed linen, final cleaning and fishing licences. Fuel is charged according to actual use. A €500 high-season supplement applies from 24 June to 15 August.
Lake Saimaa is Finland's largest lake and offers excellent fishing for pike and perch. Zander are also present but less common. Islands, sheltered bays, rocky shores, reed beds, straits and underwater structures provide varied fishing for spinning, jigging, vertical fishing and trolling.
Your selected boats are delivered directly to the private pier with full tanks, charged batteries and chargers. Ten Standard boats cost €490 per week plus fuel, while four larger and more stable Premium boats cost €840 per week plus fuel. Mika provides fast local support when needed.

The villa is approximately 320 km from Helsinki Airport. The address is Porkalansalontie 11 C, 58580 Punkaharju. Direct car ferry from Travemünde to Helsinki (Finnlines), from there 320 km to Parikkala. By car through the Baltics to Tallinn, from there car ferry to Helsinki (2 h) and 320 km to Parikkala. Ferry from Travemünde to Sweden, drive to Stockholm, overnight ferry to Helsinki, and 320 km drive to Parikkala. By flight and car (Frankfurt – Savonlinna / Helsinki) Direct flight from Frankfurt to Savonlinna (New for 2027): Discover Airlines (Lufthansa Group) operates direct flights from Frankfurt (FRA) to Savonlinna (SVL) during the summer season from June 19 to August 29, 2027 (once a week on the Saturday–Sunday night). From Savonlinna Airport, it is only about a 1-hour drive to the cottages. Helsinki-Vantaa (HEL): Daily direct flights from Germany to Helsinki. Rental car from the airport (driving time to the destination approx. 3.5–4 hours).

Fishing on site
Lake Saimaa offers excellent fishing, especially for pike and perch. Islands, rocky shores, straits, bays, reed beds and underwater structures provide a wide choice of productive areas. Zander occur in some locations but are less common. Spring and autumn are particularly good for large pike. Fully equipped boats with Lowrance fishfinders and Minn Kota GPS bow motors are delivered directly to the villa's private pier.

- Fisheries Regulation 1 § 1: Lake salmon with fat-cut (rel) is prohibited from 1.6-31.8 on the main migration route.
Economic Development Centres decision on restricting fishing (1.6 - 31.8)
Government Decree 1360/2015 on fishing (the so-called Fishing Decree), Article 1, stipulates that fat-finned lake salmon is completely prohibited in the Vuoksi water body and fat-finned (rel) lake salmon is also prohibited on the migration route between 1.6 and 31.8. In the fishing restriction service, this restriction area under the Regulation is indicated for the time being as a fishing restriction decision by the ELY. - Fishing Regulation Article 14: fishing with a hook and line set near the surface or in intermediate water by means of floats is prohibited.

Protection of Saimaa ringed seal (1.1 - 31.12)
The following fishing gear and fishing methods may not be used in the key habitats of the Saimaa ringed seal: 1) longlines; 2) other hook-and-line gear using fish or fish pieces as bait; 3) trammel nets; 4) nets with a line made of vertical bars lowered from other than the ends of the line; 5) nets with a line made of multiple strands or fibres; 6) nets or sets of interconnected nets that are not anchored at both ends during open water; (7) any net of mesh size less than 60 mm in which the twine is constructed of single twine of a thickness of 0,17 mm or more; (8) any net of mesh size equal to or greater than 60 mm in which the twine is constructed of single twine of a thickness of 0,20 mm or more; 9) a closed-top trap; 10) an open-top trap and any other static gear similar to a trap with a knot spacing of more than 55 mm; 11) a catfish or sea otter trap with a cod-end of more than 150 mm in width or length. The restrictions do not apply to angling, spinning, casting and trolling, even if carried out with bait. The prohibition shall not apply to a closed-end trap with a knot spacing of less than 55 millimetres and which, when spread or fitted with bars in the throat, does not under any circumstances create an opening of more than 150 millimetres. In addition, if the above trap is equipped with a covered front window, each corner of the front window shall have at least one exit opening 70 cm wide to allow the red seals to escape from the trap. - Lauvus pond
