Villa Tarula – Fishing Holiday on Lake Simpelejärvi
Villa Tarula is a spacious and practical lakeside villa in Melkoniemi, Parikkala. It has four bedrooms and accommodates up to eight guests. The villa includes a comfortable living room with fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, large terrace, wood-heated sauna, indoor whirlpool, grill, smoker and a large fish-cleaning table. The private shore and pier are close to the house.
All-inclusive fishing packages for 2027:
• 2–3 guests and one boat: €2.390
• 4–6 guests and two boats: €2,880
• 7–8 guests and three boats: €3,370
The packages include seven nights, fully equipped 20 hp fishing boats, bed linen, final cleaning and fishing licences. Fuel is charged according to actual consumption. From 24 June to 15 August, a €200 high-season supplement applies.
Lake Simpelejärvi is known for zander, pike and perch. Its islands, reed beds, underwater hills and depth changes offer excellent conditions for jigging, vertical fishing, spinning and trolling.
Pajuranta Holiday Homes has 14 fully equipped fishing boats. Ten Standard boats cost €490 per week and four Premium boats cost €840 per week, plus fuel. Boats are delivered to the private pier with a full tank and charged batteries. Mika provides quick local support when needed.

Direct car ferry from Travemünde to Helsinki (Finnlines), from there 320 km to Parikkala. By car through the Baltics to Tallinn, from there car ferry to Helsinki (2 h) and 320 km to Parikkala. Ferry from Travemünde to Sweden, drive to Stockholm, overnight ferry to Helsinki, and 320 km drive to Parikkala. By flight and car (Frankfurt – Savonlinna / Helsinki) Direct flight from Frankfurt to Savonlinna (New for 2027): Discover Airlines (Lufthansa Group) operates direct flights from Frankfurt (FRA) to Savonlinna (SVL) during the summer season from June 19 to August 29, 2027 (once a week on the Saturday–Sunday night). From Savonlinna Airport, it is only about a 1-hour drive to the cottages. Helsinki-Vantaa (HEL): Daily direct flights from Germany to Helsinki. Rental car from the airport (driving time to the destination approx. 3.5–4 hours).
