Privacy Policy of FISHERMANS-LODGE
Privacy & Data Protection Policy (technical update: September 24, 2026)
§ 1 Introduction
We appreciate your visit and want to explain how we handle your data. This document describes data processed when you browse the website, submit an enquiry, use a booking flow, or access the public offer catalogue. Processing can be carried out by us or by the technical service providers named below.
As our web services and underlying technologies are subject to constant change and development, changes to this privacy policy may also become necessary. All future changes to our privacy policy will be announced on this website. Therefore, you should regularly check for updates or changes to this policy.
This technical update describes the processing paths currently verifiable in the source code. Consent is requested only where the website offers an explicit choice; merely using the website does not constitute consent to optional analytics cookies.
§ 2 Responsibilities / (Hyper-) Links
FISHERMANS-LODGE is responsible for this online offering. Full provider details are available in the imprint.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this privacy policy during your visit to our online presence, feel free to contact us at: Lars.Hahne@fishermans-lodge.com.
Our website may contain links to other websites. While we check these links carefully, we are not responsible for the content of external sites or for websites linking to us.
§ 3 What Data Is Collected?
(1) Automatically Collected Data
(a) During a purely informational visit to our website, your browser automatically transmits certain data to our web server for technical reasons. This data is collected and stored automatically by us or third parties on our behalf. This includes:
- Your IP address
- Date and time of access
- Pages visited on our website
- The URL of the previously visited page (Referrer URL)
- Browser type, version, and operating system
(b) This information can be processed to deliver and secure the service, diagnose errors, and produce usage statistics. Analytics and error data is not necessarily anonymous. Sections 6 through 8 explain the consent choice and the services involved.
(2) Data You Provide
If you use an account, send an enquiry, or begin a booking flow, we process the contact, travel, offer, and booking details entered in the relevant form. Each form shows which fields are required. Free-text messages and contact fields are not sent to Matomo as analytics events.
§ 4 Data Sharing with Third Parties
We use processors and technical service providers to operate, host, diagnose, and measure the website. These include Vercel for website delivery and cookieless web analytics, Supabase for application data, Matomo for analytics, and Sentry for error and performance monitoring. Sections 6 through 8 explain the technical data involved. Data may also be disclosed when necessary to provide a contract or when required by law. We do not sell personal data or provide it to third parties for their own advertising.
§ 5 Data Management and Access
To request access, correction, deletion, or help with your stored data, contact Lars.Hahne@Fishermans-lodge.com.
§ 6 Use of Cookies
We use necessary cookies for functions such as sessions, the cart, security, and storage of your cookie choice. The fl_consent_v1 cookie stores for up to twelve months whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies and when you made that choice.
Browser-based Matomo is loaded only after you accept analytics cookies. Matomo may then set first-party cookies to recognize a browser and statistically attribute page views. If you decline, the Matomo browser tag is not loaded.
Analytics cookies are optional and are not used for advertising. Server-side event counts, Vercel Web Analytics, and error monitoring operate independently of this cookie choice and are explained in section 8.
§ 7 Managing Cookies
You can change your choice here at any time. When analytics is declined, the website removes accessible first-party Matomo cookies and reloads without the Matomo browser tag. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings.
§ 8 Web Tracking
After you consent, we use Matomo Analytics in the browser to measure visits, viewed pages, and use of the website. You can change this choice at any time under section 7.
Vercel Web Analytics records cookieless page-view statistics independently of that choice. According to the provider, the data is aggregated and the request-derived visitor hash is discarded after 24 hours. Our integration removes query parameters and URL fragments and sends no page views from booking, checkout, review, or cancellation routes.
The website also counts selected funnel events server-side, such as starting or completing an enquiry, permit-link clicks, and review events. This can include the event type, target or listing identifier, language, user agent, campaign and referrer details, and a pseudonymous Matomo visitor ID when available. Form fields, message text, and contact details are not sent to Matomo as analytics events.
We use Sentry for error and performance monitoring. Technical error details, stack traces, route, browser, operating system, timestamp, and technical request information may be processed. Sentry is configured without default PII transmission and without session replay; five percent of performance traces are sampled in production.
For the public AI catalogue, we record only aggregate operational dimensions such as tool, surface, language, offer category, outcome, filter names, duration, and response size. Search text, filter values, offer IDs, request bodies, headers, and IP addresses are not stored as catalogue metrics. Ordinary access logs maintained by the hosting infrastructure remain separate.
§ 9 Social Media Features
The website contains links to external social-media platforms. When you open one of these links, you leave our service and the respective platform's privacy policy governs further processing.
§ 10 Newsletters
If you select the optional newsletter choice in a form, we store that preference with the contact details entered there. You can withdraw your consent at any time through an unsubscribe link in a message or by emailing Lars.Hahne@Fishermans-lodge.com.
§ 11 Scope of This Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to this online offering and the processing paths described here. Linked third-party websites and services are covered by their own privacy policies.
§ 12 Right to Withdraw Consent
You can withdraw consent with effect for the future. Use the control in section 7 for analytics cookies; for other requests, contact us at: Lars.Hahne@Fishermans-lodge.com
