Arctic char lives usually in highland lakes where water is cold and crystal clear. IWe start our day trip from Kilpisjärvi where we'll find arctic char lakes quite near and day trips are easy to make. On our trip we can use a rubber boat or float tubes on a lake. In multi-day trips we can also to start from Hetta, Kautokeino or Alta in Northern Norway and drive a little bit more to reach more remote waters. Those trips include a little bit of hiking but then we can reach isolated areas and magnificent scenery with no people at all. In calm days it's possible to use only dry flies to catch an arctic char. If the water is not too warm, arctic chars usually swim near the shore searching for food. Dry fly fishing can be really exciting when you can see fish swimming in the crystal clear water. You can also use spinning rod if you like.
