Growth through pioneering winter adventures The Pietikäinen family business is now in its third generation. Started by Hansi and Eini Pietikäinen in the 70’s, the company experienced major growth in the 90’s under son Kyösti and his wife Maija. Thanks to Kyösti’s legwork and salesmanship, Harriniva was one of the first Lapland travel businesses that offered winter adventures and the first to create an all-inclusive week-long adventure program for tourists.
