Getting there

Ferry: Åland can be reached via ferry services from the Finnish mainland and from Sweden. Select your chosen port of arrival and check the timetable, vehicle transport options and onward travel to your accommodation.

Flights: Mariehamn Airport is another option for travelling to the destination. Which direct or connecting flights are suitable depends on your departure point and travel dates.

Once there: On the main island, Fasta Åland, cars and bicycles can be practical options. For the outer islands, regional ferries form part of your travel plans; take note of their timetables and, where necessary, make a booking.

Flora and fauna
