Arrival Instructions

The nearest airports are Oulu (99 km) and Kajaani (113 km), both just over an hour’s drive away. We recommend renting a car from the airport if you wish to explore the surrounding area more freely. There is also a railway station in Vaalan town center, with connections to destinations such as Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. The station is approximately a 20-minute drive from the cabin. If you don`t have rental car please ask for transportation.

A guide can provide valuable insights and tips tailored to your preferences, helping you make the most of your independent fishing days. The Metsähallitus' Oulujoki angling permit entitles you to fish with a fly or lure in state-owned waters located within the Oulujoki fisheries region.The angling permit area covers approximately 2,050 hectares of lake and pond waters, as well as tens of kilometers of river and stream waters. The Oulujoki River is not included in the permit area.
