In the middle of a magnificent pine forest, on a spacious private plot, Villa Pine Point opens its doors to peace, nature, and a slower pace of life. The property rests on its own point, embraced by two beautiful sandy beaches where you can spend sun-drenched summer days or sit in the glow of the evening sun, listening to the gentle lapping of the waves. In winter, the lake falls silent under its magical cover of ice, inviting you to step straight onto Oulujärvi for a tranquil walk or an ice-fishing trip. The surrounding forest offers place for snowshoeing or gliding quietly on skis.
Inside the villa’s harmonious and elegant interior makes it a refined choice for those who appreciate quality. Large windows frame the forest and lake, letting light and nature flow into every moment. Villa Pine Point offers experiences for all lovers of the outdoors: take the rowboat out on the lake, try your luck fishing for trout nearby or gather by the lakeside cooking spot to prepare meals over an open fire – the perfect setting for evenings spent together.
From spring to autumn, the charming Villa Aalto summer cabin is also available. Carrying influences from both years spent in Lapland and the architectural spirit of Alvar Aalto, it adds a touch of history and character to the ensemble.
For generations Villa Pine Point has been a beloved gathering place for the owner’s family. Its heartfelt atmosphere welcomes guests into a space where time seems to stand still – where there is room both for shared moments and for peaceful retreats of your own. Here, nature draws close, silence gains depth, and every moment finds new meaning. Villa Pine Point embraces you with harmony, history and the timeless beauty of the lake.

Lake Oulujärvi is ideal for both guided fishing excursions and independent fishing, whether from the shore or a rowing boat. In local tradition, trolling is especially popular, and on a good day, it’s not uncommon to encounter pike measuring over one meter in length. Spinning (cast fishing) is also a great option for exploring the lake’s diverse waters. If needed, you can inquire about equipment rental - so there’s no need to bring your own gear unless you prefer to.

Lake Oulujärvi offers a unique and diverse water experience in the heart of Finnish nature. Its vast open waters, peaceful surroundings and islands make it an exceptional destination for both relaxation and fishing. Here, you can truly enjoy a sense of freedom, as the lake is so vast that you will probably see only a few boats - if any - throughout the day. Lake Oulujärvi is well known for its abundant fish stocks and many of our guests have told our guide that they haven’t caught as much fish in years as they did during a single day of trolling with him. We highly recommend including at least one day with a local fishing guide during your stay. A guide can provide valuable insights and tips tailored to your preferences, helping you make the most of your independent fishing days. Once we know what kind of fishing you enjoy the most, we can ensure you have the best possible experience on the water. Tell us your wishes, and we will help you create your perfect lake experience.
Lake Oulujärvi is vast - on its two large open waters, you can’t even see the opposite shore. Nearby, you’ll also find smaller rivers such as the Oulujoki and Kutujoki, offering diverse water experiences. Tell us your wishes, and we will help you create the holiday of your dreams. You are welcome to contact us even before your arrival, for example via Teams or email.

Lake Oulujärvi is the central lake of the Oulujoki waterway and the fifth largest lake in Finland. It is also known as the 'Sea of Kainuu'. You can easily experience the maritime atmosphere at Ärjänselkä and Niskanselkä, which are Finland's largest contiguous inland water areas. The state-owned water areas (nearly 40,000 hectares) are located in these open waters. In addition, the Oulujärvi permit area includes smaller water areas in the surrounding region.
