We offer a wide range of guided and self-guided fishing holidays to different types of water areas and catch, from day trips to multi-day programs. This Fishing day at Utsjoki River -program is about 4-5 hours in duration and includes wilderness lunch, fishing permits, pick-up service, local guide and rental fishing gear, and other outdoor gear if needed.

We communicate with you well in advance before the planned fishing tour, to plan the day according to your preferences and inform about the area and needed gear. We have several great fishing spots by Utsjoki river, and we choose the best location for each tour depending on the guests´ preference of catch, walking distance from the road and weather conditions.

This tour is perfect for also families with children, as we can reach many nice and easy fishing spots with only a short walk from the road. Utsjoki is a long river, so there is possibility to choose from calmer water areas by easy trails to more powerful waters by steeper slopes.

In Utsjoki river, you can catch grayling, trout, pike and pink salmon, with spinner or fly.

Arrival Instructions

For our tours, we pick you up from your accommodation within 10 km from Utsjoki village, so you don´t need to worry about navigating to our wilderness tours. Utsjoki is a remote village in Northernmost Finnish Lapland. We are surrounded by two large wilderness areas, Kaldoaivi and Paistunturi wilderness areas. The easiest way to travel to Utsjoki is to fly to Ivalo and then request for a private airport transfer from us or take the bus from Ivalo to Utsjoki. Utsjoki is about 2 hour drive from Ivalo and Kirkenes airports, with good road connection. You can also reach Utsjoki with a bus connection from Rovaniemi.
