The name "Lomatärppi" is Finnish, and means a nice fish catch during your holiday. This name comes from our great location, right by the famous Teno River. Lomatärppi´s brand new, premium cottages are an excellent base from where to go for fishing trips, hikes in the wilderness or even day trips to the Barents Sea. From your cottage and the cottage terrace you get a breathtaking view over the Teno River and the surrounding wilderness. Our premium cottages are for anyone who enjoys space and high-end decor, in a very peaceful nature setting. There are two bedrooms each with two single beds. There is also a fold-out sofa, kitchen and dining area in the lounge, sauna, shower room with utility and hallway. Large floor to ceiling windows bring the scenery in. The large terraces in our premium cottages face north, east and west. From the terrace you can enjoy the Teno River views and all the spectacular colors of the Arctic sky. Amenities in the accommodation: electric stove, microwave oven, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, fridge/freezer, tableware and utensils for 2-6 pax, sauna, shower, bedding, air heat pump, toilet, TV, radio, electric heating, fireplace, firewood, terrace furniture. Bed linen for 4 and final cleaning are included in the price. The nightless night in summer, autumn foliage in September and the northern lights from mid September to early April offer unforgettable experiences. There are ten cottages at Lomatärppi with plenty of space between them. All our cottages are well-equipped and sleep 2-6 people comfortably – also in the winter. You can always just stay at your cottage and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature around you, or include some guided activities, transportation services and restaurant services in your stay. You can purchase fishing permits from our resort and fish at our private beach within a short walking distance from the cottages. Lomatärppi cottages are within walking distance from Utsjoki village and marked trails are near by. From our aurora tower you can see open skies all around you. There are two Sámi huts and a campfire site at Lomatärppi for all our guests to use free of charge. In the winter we have two reindeer staying with us. We have many outdoor equipment, such as skis and bikes, for our guests to use free of charge.
