The journey begins with a pickup from the Ruka-Kuusamo area, followed by gathering all necessary rafting gear. A scenic 1.5 km hike leads to the river, where the thrilling adventure starts. The rafting and fishing trip begins at the impressive Jyrävä Rapids and continues downstream along the Kitka River, passing through the breathtaking landscapes of Oulanka National Park, and ends at the Russian border.
Along the way, fishing takes place at remote and rarely visited spots, offering exclusive opportunities for catching fish. A relaxing lunch break by an open fire on the riverbank provides time to enjoy the surroundings and the peaceful atmosphere.

The Iijoki River is only partially included in the permit area.
