We offer a wide range of guided and self-guided fishing holidays to different types of water areas and catch, from day trips to multi-day programs. This Fishing day at Teno River -program is about 4-5 hours in duration and includes wilderness lunch, fishing permits, pick-up service, local guide, safety gear, rental fishing gear and outdoor gear if needed.

We communicate with you well in advance before the planned fishing tour, to plan the day according to your preferences and inform about the area and needed gear. We have several good fishing spots by the Teno river that we choose from, depending on your preferences, weather conditions and which spots we know to be good at specific times and for specific catch. We pick you up from your accommodation max 10 km from Utsjoki village and drive to the fishing location with car or with traditional Teno river boat.

From Teno river, you can catch grayling, trout, pink salmon and pike with a fly.

Fishing season from Teno river is from mid June to mid August.

This tour requires ability to walk, but we can modify it to some extent for guests with mobility impairments. Contact us to discuss program details and if we can tailor this program for special needs.

Arrival Instructions

For our tours, we pick you up from your accommodation within 10 km from Utsjoki village, so you don´t need to worry about finding the right starting place. Utsjoki is a remote village in Northernmost Finnish Lapland, right by the spectacular Teno river valley. Teno river connects Utsjoki to the Norwegian fjords and Arctic Sea. We are surrounded by two large wilderness areas, Kaldoaivi and Paistunturi wilderness areas. The easiest way to travel to Utsjoki is to fly to Ivalo airport and then request for a private airport transfer from us or take the bus from Ivalo to Utsjoki. Utsjoki is about 2 hour drive from Ivalo and Kirkenes airports, with good road connection. You can also reach Utsjoki with a bus connection from Rovaniemi.
