The journey begins at a charming reindeer farm, where visitors can feed the gentle animals and learn about the life of reindeer. From there, a short 1.5 km hike through the snowy winter landscape leads to a nearby private pond, where the ice fishing adventure begins.
Upon arrival at the pond, holes are drilled in the ice, revealing the serene, icy silence of the surrounding nature. The quiet and pristine winter setting creates a magical atmosphere for the experience.
A well-deserved break by the open fire offers a hearty picnic with hot coffee or tea and delicious snacks. During this time, fascinating stories are shared about fishing, the life of reindeer, and the elusive large fish that often inhabit the pond. Patience is rewarded – the pond typically provides a catch to take home with pride.
