We begin with a scenic hike of about 1.5 km through gently rolling, picturesque landscapes to reach the Laavu, a cozy shelter nestled in the heart of an untouched evergreen pine forest. Upon arrival, we prepare the fishing gear and take a peaceful moment to enjoy a cup of coffee and some snacks, fully immersing ourselves in the calm and beauty of nature.
Before we start fishing, you will receive useful tips from your guide on how to catch fish successfully in the lake. Listen to fascinating fishing stories and let the serene atmosphere of the wilderness captivate you. Then it’s time to cast your line into an idyllic, secluded pond, where rainbow trout, whitefish, and pike await your discovery.

The Metsähallitus' Koillismaa angling permit entitles you to fish with a fly or lure in state-owned waters located within the Koillismaa fisheries region. The angling permit area covers approximately 4,300 hectares of lake and pond waters, as well as over one hundred kilometers of river and stream waters.

The Iijoki River is only partially included in the permit area.
