Musta Mäntyjärvi is a secluded and peaceful fishing spot that is rented for a single fishing party at a time. The lake is full of naturally grown fish, the most targeted fish species are perch, pike and roach. There are plenty of large pikes and perches in the lake, for which the upper dimensions are also set. The top measurement of the perch is 35 cm and for the pike it is 75 cm. The lake is connected to another lake, Valkea Mäntyjärvi, by a 30-meter-long trench. Fishing is possible there with just the fishery management fee. Both lakes are accessible by boat, canoe or kayak from our campsite. There are also numerous other small lakes, ponds and rivers. About a kilometer away, at lake Pieni-Valkea, fishermen can also hunt whitefish with a rod. Above Valkea Mäntyjärvi there is also Ritojärvi where, in addition to fish mentioned above, there are also zander. It is not possible to go to Pieni-Valkea or Ritojärvi by paddling from our campsite, other transportation is needed.

Kalastusretket organize fishing, mushroom picking, kayaking and picnic trips to North Karelian nature. Musta Mäntyjärvi is our own fishing destination, which one group can rent for their own use. There are plenty of large pike and perch in the lake, which customers can target with fishing rods. Fishing is done from the beaches and from kayaks. Motor use is prohibited on this wilderness lake. The rental for the day also includes the rental of the campsite. You can stay in a home, in tents or in a motor home. There is no electricity in the area . In Joensuu, we rent kayaks, organize guided fishing and canoeing trips and boat trips. We also deliver rental equipment to the customer's destination and make trips to nearby areas, such as Kolovesi and Koli…
