The Superior Riverside Suites are brand-new, semi-detached cabins beautifully located directly on the banks of the legendary Tenojoki River. Designed for guests seeking comfort, tranquillity and a genuine connection to Arctic nature, these high-standard cabins combine modern design with warm wooden elements inspired by the colours and atmosphere of Lapland’s eight seasons.

Large panoramic windows open up breathtaking views of the river and the northern sky. From the cosy lounge area, you can admire the Midnight Sun in summer or watch the Northern Lights dance across the sky in winter. Step outside onto your private riverside terrace to enjoy the deep silence, fresh air and the spectacular fell landscapes surrounding you.

Each cabin offers 40 m² of thoughtfully designed living space and is fully equipped for a relaxing stay. The open-plan lounge and kitchen area provides everything you need for comfort, while the fireplace adds warmth and atmosphere on cooler days. After an active day in nature, your private sauna invites you to unwind and recharge.

The cabins are ideal for two persons, but also perfectly suited for families of three or four, thanks to a comfortable sofa bed in the living area. Despite their peaceful and private setting, the cabins are located just 100 metres from the main building, where breakfast and dinner are served.

These Superior Riverside Suites are the perfect choice for guests who want to slow down, enjoy stunning river views and experience the true sound of silence in the heart of Arctic Lapland.

Your fishing adventure

The fishing area

The water, fishing and key local conditions at a glance.

The water

Right outside the doorstep of the accommodation lies the River Teno, a border river between Norway and Finland, home to a wide variety of fish species, including trout, grayling, and Humpback Salmon. Nearby, the Utsjoki River is well known for its excellent grayling population. The surrounding area also features numerous small and large lakes, some of which are located deep in the Lapland tundra and can be reached either independently or with the guidance of a local fishing guide. These lakes offer good populations of char and trout, making them ideal for a peaceful and rewarding fishing experience. The Norwegian coast is also just about an hour away, offering opportunities to catch sea trout and other marine fish, adding even more variety to your Arctic fishing adventure.

Fishing on site

The rivers are excellent for fly fishing, but many spots are also suitable for spin fishing. Light tackle with spinners or small lures works perfectly here. The lakes are ideal for both spin and fly fishing, and in winter, ice fishing can also yield impressive catches. In addition, the Norwegian coast is only about an hour away, where sea trout and other marine fish can be caught, adding even more variety to your fishing experience.

Fishing license: Fishing in the surrounding rivers requires separate licenses – we are happy to help you find the right one.

The excursion begins early in the morning from Nuorgam, heading to the coastal Sámi village of Pykeija on the Norwegian side. The day is spent at sea among the fjords, and checking crab pots and enjoying delicious food. The pots may contain the largest crustacean of the Arctic region – the king crab – which can weigh up to 15 kg. After the trip, the freshly caught king crab is prepared by the restaurant’s kitchen, and it’s time to feast. There is also an opportunity to swim in the Arctic Ocean.
